THE MOVEMENT
The 21 Jewel movement is in pristine
condition!!! The beautiful damascening contrasting with the gold balance wheel
and gears and the gold jewel settings is dazzling!! The watch functions
perfectly, keeps very good time, and the balance wheel has a strong swing!! This
watch has obviously been meticulously maintained.
This watch has been recently serviced this watch. The movement is
signed: "B.W. Raymond - 43149686 - 21 Jewels - 590 - Adjusted 5 Positions -
Temperature" "Elgin National Watch Co. - USA" (under balance wheel)
THE DIAL
The porcelain dial is in "like Mint" condition. There are no chips, aging,
fading, hairlines, etc. I would have to say that it is as close to Mint as you
can get!!
The numbers are bold and clear and the sunken auxiliary dial is crisp and
bright.
The blue steel hands are matching and in very, very good condition!!
THE CASE
The 10K Gold Filled case is in very good condition!! There are no ding, dents,
or scratches except for a very small ding on the outer back case cover. The bow
is tight, the bezel is clean, the bezel and back case cover thread clean and
tight.
There is no brassing or fading of the Gold Filling only very minor scuffing from
normal wear.
The back case cover is signed: "3055 - Cased and Timed By Elgin National Watch
Co. - Keystone - J.Boss - 10K - Gold Filled - 89591"
THE CRYSTAL The plastic crystal appears to be new. There is
no scuffing or scratches.
