This 1940 Rolex Corvette has an original 24 hr. dial with sub seconds, gold-fill case, stainless screw back, and features the oyster case that made Rolex world famous in 1926. The original crown screws down and is in good condition. So is the pipe. The movement is the 700 caliber with Super Balance, 17 Rubies. It runs well and keeps time.   Slight smudging between the 1 and the 3 looks as though the hands may be touching the dial - but are not.

The watch has been sitting in a retired watch maker's shop for about thirty years.
