Oyster (Rolex) Shipmate

This beautiful little watch was a family piece for over 60 years... this is one of the earlier 59 movement Oyster watches that were made by the Canadian subsidiary of Rolex... the Oyster Watch Co.   The oddities found in this piece are the original onion-style crown, the built-in bezel (the whole top must be separated from the bottom of the case and the crystal is inserted from behind).  Later models have a flatter crown and a removable bezel.  The case is marked 2784.  Fitted with a brand new Rolex leather strap and Rolex buckle.  Under the dial is Rolex Geneve (all Oyster Watch Co. watches have this anomaly).
