this quality piece is made of the finest Canadian B.C. nephrite jade. Master gemstone sculptor, Lyle Sopel, creates original fine art sculptures. His wildlife and abstract works are rendered primarily from nephrite jade and embellished with turquoise, quartz crystals, amethyst, rhodonite, and petrified wood accents. His sculptures are considered museum calibre and attract art connoisseurs from around the globe. This is a fine translucent, almost ice Jade, Burmese Jadeite, pendant from ca. 1980. The front shows a Lotus leaf, blossom and pod, and a fungus on top. The reverse depicts a fish jumping out of the water, with a lotus leaf and blossom, also with a fungus on top. Size 6.5cm ( 2"1/2) x 4.7cm (1"7/8).
